Transit Bus Slams Into Car

A terrifying ride home for an 18-year-old after the Transit Windsor bus she was riding slammed into a car.

Windsor police say one of the vehicles ran a red light at the intersection of Erie and Goyeau.

Theresa Nguyen says it all unfolded so quickly. "It just sent two women kind of flying out of their seats onto the ground," she says. "It just kind of made everybody panic and get up and ask if everybody was OK, double checking on each other."

"Out of reaction I had to get up and check on the older lady in the front, she walked on with a cane," says Nguyen.

The driver of the car was taken to hospital with serious, but non-life threatening chest injuries. The passenger was also taken to hospital. One person on the bus sustained an ankle injury.

Police say charges will likely be laid Tuesday.
