Murder-Kidnap Plot Accused In Court

The man accused of plotting to kidnap and kill two Windsor women will be in jail for another week.

Peter Bandulj's defence lawyer Andrew Bradie says his bail hearing's been pushed to August 26 as he waits for disclosure.

"That will contain the evidence that the police say they have against him and it will be for me to review that with him," explains Bradie. "Ultimately one of the issues you always address early on in a prosecution such as this is the possibility of bail."

Bradie says the charges of conspiracy to commit murder along with kidnapping and break-and-enter make this case unusual.

He adds that the court process could take longer for Bandulj because, due to the type of offences, the case is required to apply to Ontario's Superior Court of Justice.
