Spitfires Add Coyotes Prospect

The Windsor Spitfires are locking up another key forward for this season.

Fresh off of signing an entry-level contract with the Arizona Coyotes, 18-year-old Christian Fischer has committed to play for the Spitfires.

"This is going to be the best development for me to get to the Arizona Coyotes quicker," says Fischer. "It's a first class organization and they treat their players like pros, so you add all those things together and I think it's an easy decision to come here."

Fischer spent the last two years with the United States National Training & Development program in Ann Arbor, Michigan before he was drafted 32nd overall in the 2015 NHL Draft.

The 6'2, 215lb native of Wayne, Illinois was selected by Windsor in the 11th round of the 2013 OHL Priority Selection.
