The Tecumseh Fire Rescue Service responded to the Ciociaro Club in Oldcastle around 2am. They say heavy smoke was seen coming from the roof when they arrived.
Fire officials add sections of the roof had to be peeled back to check for extensions of the fire.
The blaze was eventually put out, with no injuries reported. There is no estimate on damages at this time.
People in southern Huron and Lambton counties are being told to limit their time outside.
