Days before tens of thousands of children across Windsor-Essex head back to school, the Town of LaSalle is lowering speed limits near its elementary schools.
Speeds on roads near Sandwich West Public School, LaSalle Public School, Sacred Heart Elementary School, Ecole Monseigneur Augustin Caron, Prince Andrew Public School and Holy Cross Elementary School have been lowered to 30 km/h effective immediately.
A release from the town says it created the community safety zones in consultation with administration and LaSalle police.
