Brant St Murder Case Continues

A Windsor man accused of killing a 52-year-old in a Brant St. home will be back in court next week.

Derek Gammon appeared before a judge via video this morning, but his defence lawyer is still waiting on evidence to be disclosed before moving forward with a bail hearing.

The 34-year-old was arrested after police found a man unconscious in a duplex around 12:30am, September 2. The victim succumbed to his injuries shortly after emergency crews arrived.

Gammon faces one count of first degree murder next Thursday, September 17, while he'll be in court for an assault charge on Tuesday, September 15.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
