Teen Overdoses On 'Molly' Capsules

One alleged drug trafficker is off the streets after a teen overdosed on "Molly" MDMA capsules near the University of Windsor.

Police were called to University Ave. W and Patricia Rd. for a 19-year-old who overdosed. She's since been released from hospital.

A campus officer already had a man in custody who allegedly provided the drugs, which are also known as ecstasy. Police placed him under arrest and seized the suspected "Molly" capsules.

The 19-year-old man from Hamilton is charged with drug trafficking and possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.

Windsor police is issuing a reminder to residents about the dangers of taking non-prescribed narcotics and illegal drugs.
