Police stopped the red Chevrolet Cobalt near Westminster Rd. around 8:40pm yesterday .
The 34-year-old Toronto driver was arrested without incident and charged with two counts of drug trafficking.
Two women in the vehicle were also arrested.
Police also seized $1,450 in cash from the vehicle.
SPS Board Chair Kelly Ash said the decision followed discussions with Acting Chief Mike Federico and aligns with practices at other police services.
