Arrests Follow Several Windsor B&Es

Police have arrested two Windsor men after a series of home break-ins in the south Windsor area.

Last Wednesday afternoon police were called to a home on St. Patrick's Ave. where the front door of a home had been forced open and jewelry stolen from inside. Using surveillance video, police were able to identify two suspects and a vehicle.

The next day, police located the same vehicle and watched a person inside dump a bag of empty jewelry boxes and a receipt from a home that had been broken into on California Ave.

Later in the day, police saw the same vehicle on John Harvey Cres. and watched a person run from a home and jump into the passenger seat of the vehicle. Police tried to box them in, but the vehicle fled down Howard Ave., running a red at Cabana Rd.

Eventually, police were able to locate the passenger of the vehicle and convinced the driver to turn himself in.

A 35-year-old man and a 46-year-old man, both from Windsor, face several charges.

Police are investigating several other break and enters in the area and say charges are pending.
