Lancers Fall To Marauders

The Windsor Lancers football team dropped a 44-19 game to the McMaster Marauders on Saturday.

Rookie quarterback Liam Putt led the Lancers offensively with 165 passing yards, one touchdown, and no interceptions, to go along with 65 yards rushing. Kicker Anthony Malandruccolo finished the game with 276 punting yards and a 37 yard field goal, while Dave McDuffie had 71 kick return yards.

Defensively, Tarik Bonas had 9.5 total tackles, while Matt Gayer finished the game with seven to bring his season total to 40.5.

With the loss, Windsor falls to 1-5 in the season.

The Lancers travel to Guelph on October 17 to take on the Gryphons. Kick-off is set for 1pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
