Police Seize $39K In Marijuana

An ebike driver who was stopped by police eventually led officers to a stash of marijuana worth $39,000.

During a drug trafficking investigation police stopped an ebike Wednesday in the 2500-block of Rivard Ave. The male driver was arrested.

Just moments later police executed a search warrant in the area and found a large quantity of drugs -- 3585.5 g of marijuana to be exact. Police also found 21.7 g of meth. In total, the street value of all drugs seized is $39,110.

Two unnamed Windsor men, ages 41 and 42, have been charged with drug trafficking offences.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
