UPDATE: Halloween Attempted Murder Investigation

A 17-year-old is now in stable condition after Windsor police say he was run over by a vehicle early Sunday morning, on Pillette Rd. at Ontario St.

Officers say the teen was coming to the aid of a 21-year-old who was being assaulted by a group of men, around 1am.

The men then supposedly turned on the 17-year-old and ran him over with their vehicle.

Investigators are still trying to confirm a suspect description.

They continue to interview witnesses and would like to speak to anyone with information.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
