Housing Sales Climb Again In October

Housing sales in Windsor-Essex are up for the tenth consecutive month according to the Windsor-Essex County Association of Realtors.

It's monthly report says 500 homes changed hands in October, compared to 418 in October of last year, a 19.62% month-to-month increase. So far this year, 5,344 homes have sold, an increase of 17.63% over 2014.

The average price of homes is up too. Last month, the price of a new home averaged out to $200,813, which is a 2.97% increase. Year-to-date, prices have jumped 4.68%.

The last time the market has witnessed a drop in housing sales is December 2014.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
