UPDATE: Body Found In Detroit River

Windsor police say foul play is not suspected after a dead body was found in the Detroit River.

Officers responded to Riverside Dr. E at Lauzon Rd. after the body was discovered around 2:30pm on Wednesday.

Investigators and the Windsor Port Authority attended the scene.

Police say they have since identified the deceased but aren't releasing any further information.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
