E.C. Row Shut Down

The eastbound lanes of the E.C. Row Expwy. will shut down Thursday night between Walker Rd. and Central Ave.

Windsor's Manager of Contracts Wade Bondy says it's the last bit of work that needs to be done on the bridge there before the city can put a wrap on the project that caused major backups all summer.

"Clearing up some deficiency work. That includes the granular shouldering along the new pavement," says Bondy. "Sealing some joints, and some minor cleanup."

Starting at 8pm, traffic will be detoured from the expressway at the Walker Rd. ramp and allowed back on at Central Ave.

Bondy says crews will work as fast as they can to minimize the disruption of a major artery through the city, but it should be open no later than 5am Friday.
