Skateboarder Injured Trying To 'Bumper Hitch' Bus

A teenage skateboarder has been seriously injured after he attempted to “bumper hitch” with a city bus in Windsor.

The Windsor Police Service says on Friday around 4pm, the 18-year-old attempted the maneuver with a Transit Windsor bus on Walker Rd. south of Grand Marais Rd. E.

The 18-year-old male has been taken to hospital where he remains in critical condition with a serious head injury.

Walker Rd. between Tecumseh Rd. E and Parkdale Pl. was closed for over four hours while officers were at the scene.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
