UPDATE: Elderly Woman Killed In Head-On Crash

An elderly woman has died following a head-on crash in Windsor.

The Windsor Police Service says on Saturday just before 7pm, two vehicles collided on Malden Rd. near Oriole Blvd.

Police say the elderly female driver of one of the vehicles was killed in the crash. Her name and age is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The driver of the second vehicle, an adult female, was taken to hospital with unknown injuries, but has since been treated and released.

There were no other passengers in the vehicles at the time of the crash.

Police have reopened Malden Rd. between Todd Lane and Armanda St. following an investigation.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
