Salesmen Posing as City Building Inspectors

The City of Windsor is warning residents about door-to-door salesmen posing as city building inspectors.

There have been several reports of individuals dressed similar to inspectors knocking on doors to gain entry into the home. Once inside the men inspect the water heater and begin talking about the benefits of one product over the other.

The City says all of their inspectors are required to carry photo identification. They are asking for residents to report any similar incidents to the building department.
