Tentative Deal Reached

The province and the union representing correctional workers have a new three-year tentative agreement in place.

Details of the deal will not be released until the Ontario Public Service Employees Union ratifies it.

According to the government, the outcome would be net-zero, meaning the contract meets the fiscal plan outlined in this year's budget.

OPSEU represents 5,500 correctional service employees across the province, and has been without a contract for those employees since December 31, 2014.
