Man Released After Disturbance

No charges have been laid after a disturbance in downtown Windsor last night.

The Windsor Police Emergency Services Unit was called to the area of Park St. W and Pelissier St. after witnesses reported hearing the sound of glass breaking and popping sounds similar to gun shots.

Officers saw a man lean out of a broken window, yelling obscenities and holding a silver object.

The man was arrested without incident but the investigation revealed no weapon and no threat to public safety. He was subsequently released.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
