UPDATE: Barn Explosion Being Investigated

The investigation into a weekend barn explosion in the 5000-block of Middle Side Rd. in Amherstburg continues despite officials releasing a damage estimate on Tuesday.

Damage is pegged at $120,000 after the investigation by the Ontario Fire Marshal's office wrapped today. The Technical Standards and Safety Authority is also investigating.

Amherstburg fire officials report the investigation is ongoing. A cause for the explosion has yet to be reported by authorities.

Fire crews responded to the scene around 3pm on Sunday. No one was hurt in the explosion or ensuing fire.
