UPDATE: Firefighters Battle Multiple Fires

The investigation by Windsor Fire and Rescue Services concludes the fires on Dougall Ave. in the early morning hours on Friday were set intentionally.

Total damage is pegged at $230,000 for the two fires at apparently vacant homes.

Firefighters responded to the blaze at 1081 Dougall Ave. around 2am. Damage there is pegged at $80,000.

Shortly after, crews were fighting flames down the street at 1059 Dougall Ave. where damage is estimated at $150,000. Firefighters were forced out of the building by heavy fire conditions on the first floor while battling the blaze.

Both fires have since been extinguished.

A third fire sprung up for firefighters to deal with at 903 Pelissier St. in Windsor. The fire was in the upper unit of the building.

Firefighters searched the basement, first and second floors before declaring the building clear. Cause of the fire is still undetermined. Windsor Fire has set the damage estimate at $100,000.
