More New Homes In Lakeshore

This spring looks set to be another busy time for new home construction in Lakeshore with the final 86 homes of the Whitewood subdivision approved to be built.

Council has signed off on the development and Mayor Tom Bain is happy to see construction move forward.

"It's something that certainly will enhance the area," says Bain. "We've heard that the demand is there for these homes."

Bain says Lakeshore is expecting a lot of new home builds this year.

"These 86 homes are the beginning of three or four subdivisions that we have lined up this spring, so showing some real residential growth," says Bain, adding the town has seen at least 200 new homes built each year for a few years now.

The Whitewood subdivision is just east of Belle River and construction of the final phase of homes is expected to being this spring.
