Leamington Building Amphitheatre

The Town of Leamington is sending out a request for proposal to build a new amphitheatre on Seacliff Beach.

"We are building an amphitheatre at the base of the hill at Seacliff Park and carving out seating areas part way up the hill as well to make it more accessible for people," says Leamington Mayor John Paterson.

The town is working with a tight deadline as they'd like the project completed before the Hogs for Hospice event at the park on the weekend of July 29, 2016.

Paterson also hinted the town is working on launching a new summer festival that will be centred around Seacliff Park and the amphitheatre.

"We ourselves are looking at a probable new festival this year which we attract some big name entertainment to," says Paterson.

The project will cost around $660,000 and was approved in the 2016 budget.
