Strike Deadline Extended In Amherstburg

The strike deadline for 55 unionized workers with the Town of Amherstburg has been extended through the weekend.

The deadline is now just after midnight Tuesday morning.

Workers were set to walk off the job at midnight Friday, but talks went until just after 4am Friday.

Town officials have made a final offer and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers says it'll update its members at a meeting on Monday.
