UPDATE: Four Wanted In LaSalle Theft

Police in LaSalle want to identify four women after $1,000 worth of baby formula disappeared from the Shopper's Drug Mart on Malden Rd.

Investigators say the four women entered the store twice between 8:10pm and 8:25pm Saturday night with reusable shopping bags that appear empty, judging from video surveillance taken at the front entrance. When they left, the bags look full.

The first time, the cashier was distracted, and the women walked past him. The second time, one of the women caught the cashier's attention when she purchased a few minor items, and the other three walked out behind her.

It's believed the women worked together, although there's no video of them conversing together inside the store.

Community Liason Officer Constable Harbinder Gill is warning businesses in LaSalle in the event there have been other incidents.  Anyone with information is asked to call Constable Jamie Nestor at 519-969-5210 or Crime Stoppers at 519-258-TIPS.
