UPDATE: Serious Crash After Tuesday Flurries

OPP in Lakeshore say the driver of a pickup truck is in hospital with life threatening injuries after being involved in a head-on crash in Essex County.

Police say the crash involving a Dodge pickup truck and a Cadillac happened on Talbot Rd. between LaPointe St. and Wilson Side Rd. in Lakeshore just before 8pm on Tuesday.

Both drivers were sent to hospital. Authorities say the pickup truck driver's injuries are life threatening while the Cadillac driver is expected to recover.

Talbot Rd. between LaPointe St. and Wilson Side Rd. has reopened after it was closed for several hours.

Police issued an appeal Tuesday night to drivers to adjust their driving to the conditions after officers responded to a number of crashes as flurries swept through Windsor-Essex.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
