A fire at 395 Curry Ave. in Windsor claimed the life of a woman February 13, 2016. (Photo by Maureen Revait) After a nearly three day investigation, Windsor fire officials have confirmed how a woman died after a house blaze on Curry Ave.
Firefighters responded to 395 Curry Ave. just after 10am Saturday morning, to find the second floor and the attic also on fire.
Fire officials say two dogs also perished in the blaze. With the fire stemming from the home's kitchen stove, they add the woman died as a result of smoke inhalation.
The fire is not deemed to be suspicious. Damages are estimated at $150,000.
People in southern Huron and Lambton counties are being told to limit their time outside.
