Windsor Police Investigating Suspicious Death

A man transported to hospital with a closed head injury who later died is at the center of a suspicious death investigation by Windsor police.

The 52-year-old victim was taken to Windsor Regional Hospital Tuesday morning and police immediately starting looking into how he sustained his injuries.

Police say he lived at 920 Ouellette Ave. on the 22nd floor and was discovered by a roommate.

The victim was conscious and spoke with detectives in hospital until his death Wednesday at around 4:30pm.

An autopsy is scheduled for Friday morning in London to help determine the cause of death.

Police are treating his death as suspicious and asking anyone with information to contact Windsor police or Crime Stoppers.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
