UPDATE: Chimney Fire Near UWindsor

Everyone escaped without injury following a chimney fire at a home near the University of Windsor.

The blaze caused $125,000 to the house and $25,000 to the contents inside.

Firefighters were called out at around 2:50am Wednesday to a house on Randolph Ave., just off University Ave. W.

Within about 15 minutes, fire crews reported the fire was under control on the first floor of 319 Randolph.

An investigator will not be attending the scene.

Fire officials haven't said exactly how the fire started.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
