UPDATE: Two Separate Windsor Fires

Windsor fire crews battled not one, but two structure fires early Sunday morning.

The first happened at a commercial building located at 1669 Gladstone Ave. around midnight. Firefighters battled that blaze for over an hour.

Damages are estimated at $200,000 to the building and $100,000 to the contents inside. There were no injuries and the cause is undetermined.

The second fire happened about 20 minutes later at 3381 Peter St. Windsor fire crews say that one was much smaller and was limited to the basement of a two story apartment. The tenant of the unit was not home at the time, and the cause is still undetermined.

Damage is estimated around $100,000.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
