Search Starts For Economic Development Officer

If you have professional experience with economic development, the City of Windsor is looking for you.

Windsor city council has voted to hire an economic development officer to work closely with Mayor Drew Dilkens and CAO Helga Reidel.

Reidel says the hiree will help small businesses in the city.

"The position will certainly advocate for existing businesses and helping them navigate through the red tape," she says.

The administrative position is independent of the Windsor Essex Economic Development Corporation and will carry out economic development initiatives within the mayor's office.

Reidel hopes to distribute the posting in the next month or two and fill it within five months.
