Two Local Lottery Winners

Two area residents are celebrating after winning $50,000 each from instant scratch tickets.

Donna Snider of Harrow won after playing a Quest For Gold Instant scratch ticket she purchased at the Stop 'N' Go on King St. in Harrow.

Snider says she's going to use the money to travel.

"I would love to see the rest of Canada," she says.

University of Windsor student Hussein Hamid won his $50,000 with an Instant Bingo Doubler purchased at the Petro Canada on Manning Rd. in Tecumseh.

He has some big plans for his windfall.

“I would love to buy a sports car,” he says. “And I will also be putting my winnings towards my education.”

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
