Man Spotted With Fake AK47

Two people were arrested after police received a call about a person with a gun.

Around 5:45pm on Tuesday police were dispatched to the area of Goyeau St. and Shepherd St. after a caller said they witnessed a person with a gun walking with a female party.

Officers conducted a gunpoint arrest and secured the two parties without incident. Police seized a replica AK-47 and a small quantity of methamphetamine.

A 35-year-old male is charged with possession of methamphetamine and four counts of breach of recognizance.

The 23-year-old female is charged with two counts breach of recognizance.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
