Border Agents Recover Missing Children

US Customs and Border Protection helped to recover three missing children at the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel.

A 43-year-old woman was arrested for the custodial kidnapping of her three children ages 10, 11, and 12.

The woman tried to cross the border into Detroit on March 16 but was stopped by the primary inspection officer after he made queries in the national database.

“CBP and its partnership with state and local law enforcement agencies successfully facilitated the safe return of three minor children and bring the wanted person to justice,” says Port Director Rod Blanchard. “I commend the CBP officers involved and the swift reporting by our partner agency.”

The woman and the children were turned over to Saint Clair Shores Police Department for further investigation.
