Former City Employee Charged With Fraud

Windsor police confirm a former City of Windsor employee is charged with fraud over $5000.

Through an investigation beginning in March 2015 Windsor police allege 46-year-old Angela Barry used her position to issue cheques that she may have benefited from in the amount of $36,000.

The City of Windsor confirms Barry worked as a Parks Operations Asset Analyst from January 2013  until April 1, 2015.  Prior to that she worked in the internal auditors office when she went on sick leave after attempting to sue the corporation for workplace harassment.  The city would not comment on the investigation while the case is before the courts.

Fraud charges were laid in December. Barry appeared in court today.
