Robber Flees Empty-Handed

Windsor police are looking for a suspect in an attempted armed robbery at a west end convenience store.

Around 10pm Tuesday, a man entered the store at 400 Chippewa St. and demanded money. He had a knife.

The clerk sustained a minor injury, but the suspect fled empty-handed.

Police tried to find him with the K-9 unit but were unsuccessful.

The suspect was in his early 20s, with a slender build and between 5'10 and 6'. He was dressed entirely in black, including gloves and a balaclava.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
