OHL Suspends Spitfire Brendan Lemieux

Windsor Spitfire Brendan Lemieux has been suspended for two games following an incident during the team's playoff series opener against the Kitchener Rangers.

The Ontario Hockey League says the decision was made to suspend the left winger after reviewing a slew foot match penalty during the playoff game in Windsor on Thursday. The incident occurred 18:56 into the first period.

The suspension is effective immediately.

The Spitfires will face the Rangers without Lemieux in Game 2 on Saturday at 7pm.
