Police Surround Home To Arrest Robbery Suspects

Two men have been arrested after police were forced to surround a Windsor home during an attempted robbery.

On Saturday around 11:30am, officers responded to a report of a robbery with a gun at the home located at 399 Bridge Ave.  Windsor police officials say two men had allegedly attempted to rob the home and were still in the house when police arrived.

An unknown number of residents were also in the home at the time of the robbery.

After surrounding the area and containing the scene, officers instructed the suspects to exit the house. The two men complied with police and were arrested at the scene without incident.

A firearm was not recovered at he scene, but officers did seize a knife.

No one was injured and police say charges are pending.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
