Man Arrested For Waving Shotgun In East Windsor

One person has been arrested after local residents reported seeing a man waving around a firearm in the east end of Windsor.

The Windsor Police Service says on Saturday around 2:50pm, officers received a report that a man was waving a rifle on Lauzon Rd. near Hawthorne Dr.  Police say the man was initially seen in a van before entering a home on Lauzon Rd.

Upon arrival, officers set up a perimeter around the area. A short time later, a man exited a residence and was placed under arrest. A 12-gauge shotgun was seized at the scene.

The man has been charged with weapons dangerous. Police say further charges will also likely be laid.
