Essex Fire and Rescue reported on Wednesday around 6:30pm, that fire crews from two stations responded to the fire and gas leak at a house on Thomas St. near Bell Ave.
Fire officials say one person has been taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Damage is estimated at around $15,000.
Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
