Minor Injuries In Crash Involving Bus

An elderly woman had to be taken to hospital after a two-vehicle crash involving a Transit Windsor bus.

The Windsor Police Service says on Saturday around 11:30am, a bus was traveling south on Ouellette Ave. when it was struck by a Dodge Caravan that was headed east on Wyandotte St. E.

The driver of the Dodge Caravan, an 85-year-old woman, was taken to hospital and treated for cuts to her hands.

There were 15 passengers on the bus at the time of the crash and four sustained very minor injuries. All four declined treatment from paramedics.

The woman has been charged with failing to stop at a red light and police say the investigation is ongoing.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
