Saying it hasn't had a fare increase since January 1, 2014, Transit Windsor is hiking the cost of riding the city bus.
Riders have until June 15 to buy a bus pass at the current price. As of July 1, the cost of an adult pass will go up from $87 to $95.70. A student pass will cost $66, and a seniors pass will cost $48.40.
The price of a single one-way fare is increasing from $2.75 to $3.
The fare to ride the tunnel bus into downtown Detroit will go up from $4.50 to $5. The Ride All Day/Family Pass will increase from $8.25 to $9.
