The Giant Tiger in Leamington is officially opening.
The ribbon cutting ceremony is set for 7:45am with doors open to shoppers at 8am.
Store Manager Ryan Mortimore thinks Leamington is a good place to be.
"Leamington clearly is on the upswing. I know there were tough times a few years ago, but that's certainly in the past now and it's trending very positively," says Mortimore . "The feedback from the community has just been spectacular."
Mortimore feels Giant Tiger is a good fit in Leamington.
"They've been asking for a Giant Tiger for quite some time with the closest one being the two Windsor stores. We can serve Leamington, Kingsville, Harrow, Wheatley; it's a great base and we're very excited about it," says Mortimore.
The new store is located at 215 Talbot St. E and features over 26,000 sq. ft. of retail space.
The grand opening will see free activities for customers , promotional giveaways and a barbecue with proceeds supporting the Leamington United Soccer Club.
