Woman Arrested After Vehicle Driven On Sidewalk

Police have arrested a woman after a vehicle mounted a curb and drove on a sidewalk before crashing in a gas station parking lot in east Windsor.

The Windsor Police Service says on Sunday around 4:15pm, officers received a call about the vehicle driving on the sidewalk on Tecumseh Rd. E near Aubin Rd. Officers were then called to Tecumseh Rd. E at Lauzon Rd. around 4:30pm, after the vehicle collided with a ice machine in the parking lot of an Esso gas station.

A woman was arrested at the scene and police say she is facing an impaired driving charge for operating a vehicle under the influence of a drug.

No one was hurt during the incident, and police say the only suspect's vehicle suffered any damage.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
