Molotov Cocktail Backfires In Suspect's Face

An arson suspect may have gotten injured after having a Molotov cocktail backfire in his face.

The surveillance video shows a suspect lighting the cocktail, throwing it into the vehicle and flames shooting into the man's face.

It happened Wednesday at around 12:30am at a house in the 200-block of Belleperche.

Officers say he was last seen running away from the scene.

Windsor fire crews arrived shortly after and extinguished the blaze.

Police say the only information they have is that he was wearing a sweater and he could be injured.

Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
