Leamington Adds Summer Bus Route

The Municipality of Leamington is adding a second public transit route for the summer.

The bus will run north and south along Erie St. between Wilkinson Dr. and the marina Friday to Sunday from 7am to 7pm, plus holidays.

Allan Botham with the municipality says they introduced the route to give people the opportunity to explore more businesses and amenities.

"We've heard comments about how it would be nice to have a route that runs through our downtown core, through our business area, from our farmer's market at the north end of town down to our waterfront," says Botham.

The Erie Summer Route begins Victoria Day weekend, Friday May 20, and ends Labour Day.

There will be a transfer system in place to transfer from the normal route to the secondary route.
