UPDATE: Charges In Crash Involving Pedestrian

A 23-year-old Windsor man is facing charges after a pedestrian was hit in an East Windsor crash.

Police say it happened around 11pm Sunday on Wyandotte St. E. at Jefferson Blvd.

An eastbound car hit another eastbound vehicle, which then slid into oncoming traffic, hitting a westbound vehicle, which then hit a 15-year-old girl.

The girl suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers say the accused left the scene of the accident and was found not far away by the K-9 unit. He will now be charged with dangerous driving, failing to remain at an accident, and impaired driving.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
