Windsor Regional Hospital Ouellette Campus. (photo by Mike Vlasveld)Careless smoking in a patient room at Windsor Regional Hospital-Ouellette Campus is getting the blame for a small fire Monday evening.
Windsor fire crews responded to the fire on the third floor of the building around 6pm. Crews quickly put out the fire that was contained to one room.
The wing of the hospital had to be evacuated for a short time but all patients have now returned to their rooms.
No injuries were reported.
The fire cost around $10,000 in damages.
People in southern Huron and Lambton counties are being told to limit their time outside.
