New Craft Beer and Distilleries Tour

Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island is launching a new culinary trail featuring craft breweries and distilleries.

TWEPI Vice President Lynette Bain says the Barrels, Bottles and Brews Trail offers visitors a unique opportunity to sample the craft beers, and local spirits the region has to offer.

"It's a way to get both our residents and our visitors to experience our culture and our history and the future of our beverage producing industry through stopping at one of our 11 stops," says Bain.

The tour is being launched as part of Tourism Week in the province.

"We all know we have a beautiful wine country, award winning wines but it's time to showcase, in compliment to that, our great distilleries with the tradition and our new craft breweries," says Bain.

According to the latest data over 4.8-million tourists visit the region annually spending $562-million.
